Americruise, 66 Charger Auto X'ing, Fuck the Police

I went to Americruise in Lincoln, NE last weekend. At the car show they had an auto x set up. Dad wanted me to run his car through it. Man it handles horrible with the 235's in the front and the 295's in the rear and no rear sway bar. Had a clean run and hit a cone on the second run

After the show we were out on the main drag in Lincoln inciting burnouts. It went great for a while. We had lot of people doing it. Then the cops came and parked at the other end of the lot we were in and pulled over the next couple people that did burnouts. So there this Toyota pick up comes out of the lot and does a burn out and well, this video speaks for the driver's brilliance:

Well, after that guy did that one of my friends gets an idea nd gets out there on his bike. You'll think it's bull shit if I tell you and you don't watch so you might as well just watch

Nice burnout by the guy on the bike. He must have some balls to do that right in front of the cop! Looks like a good time.

you can't really tell what he did after the burnout as much as I thought you could. When he holds his arm out he flips them off.

If you watched both videos and didn't figure it out, the bikes that go by after the truck does a burnout are cops. They didn't catch him.

ps. orange is the perfect color too, the cones don't see you coming. :)

You mean like a Miata? I've always wondered where the challange in auto x'ing a Miata was. The Charger definitely handled much worse than my old T-bird did and the Lightning does in auto x's though even if it isn't much, if any bigger than either of them. Guess it's definitely lighter than the truck.

No, I am not a miata fan. They have cool possibilities, but only seious ovaries can pull it off.
A very good friend of mine has a gutted GTI for auto-x. More of my friends run WRX's and STi's for auto-x and do great. Hell, if I wasn't having overboosting issues I was going to take the GN (with full hotchkis suspension and baer brakes) to the 131 a/x.
I didn't mean anything negative about the car running a/x. It is pretty cool that it was used for that, just saying b/c it wasn't built to do anything else but to go straight fast
I still think it is bad ass to take old ass cars on tracks w/ turns.
