AMC Presents: The Walking Dead

not sure how many of you have heard of this. I'm reading the comic series right now and it's fucking excellent. Well, it looks like AMC is bringing it to TV.

PS. Before you start, The Walking Dead comic was written at the same time and released at the same time as 28 Days Later, so the beginning similarities are coincidence, not a ripoff.

I love zombie movies but I just dont see this lasting that long.

1) Waking up in a Zombie apocolypse has been done many times before
2) Being that it's on AMC there will be no gratuitous violence or even "bad" words.

I'm eager but skeptical

You should check out the graphic novels. They're very well written.

And, AMC is responsible for Mad Men and that's a great show... they've won a lot of awards for it. And gratuitous violence? I'm sure there will be enough. It won't be absurd, but it will be there. Cable TV pushes the boundaries.

I watched the premiere last night and I'm ready for the second even though I've never actually "committed" to a series! It is an awesome show, has very good actors and plenty of blood/violence. The special effects are awesome too ! NO JOKE. I thought it would be stupid when I found out it was an AMC series but couldn't have been more wrong. I'm glad I flipped through the channels last night and stumbled on this. Good stuff ! A+
