I've seen that Glamis video a million times. It's great. Did you watch the first part of the first video.
 
not to be a stingy bastard... but those are trophy trucks...much more bad ass then a prerunner....

but prerunners are bad ass in there own right. usually have the same or close to the same performance as a race truck, be it a full blown trophy truck or a SCORE class 8 or 7 race truck, but with all the comforts of a fully optioned out stocker...
go to dezertrangers.com and look through some builds. kinda makes drag racing look like a girls sport... just saying.
 
There is a ton of pre-runner trucks running around in So-Cal. I saw some racing in the wash in the desert for one of the sanctioned races.

Every other truck in socal is done up like that. Most don't look so sweet. I even saw freaking lightning pre-runner. Who does that?

Yeah I agree, there are so many that are just junky Rangers with fenders on them with the exhaust cut off and a spare tire mounted in the bed. :lol:

A lightning pre-runner? :wtf:
 
lightning prerunner... whats there not to get? its a fast 2wd... might has well throw a long travel kit on it if your going to use it right..just makes sence.
to me any ways...
and i had a junky(ish) ranger fx4 with the fiber glass fenders with the exhaust cut off(i couldn't find a muffler that i likes sooo...)no spare in the bed lol... and i used it. no lift with 33s beat the piss out of it. jumped it at silver lake many times..

Honestly, it's been 7 years since I lived out there. I saw those trucks(prerunners) all the time, and being from out here I couldn't understand why they'd do that to a 2wd truck. But obviously a lot of prerunners are 2wd.

I was on a lightning forum recently and saw a thread on a couple lightning prerunner builds....not a lot of happy people were happy about it on that site :lol:
