Its awful peculiar as successful as they have been that they cannot find a sponsor. I have always felt there was something up with him. Especially after the way he left Schumacher racing. I don’t know if he is just a asshole or if there is something more going. Something just does not seem right. I know they say the father of the guy who started Al-nabi was not happy with him. The son supposedly came over here and he felt they let him get hooked on Cocaine, but it seems like it’s some hidden things.

Heard stories about the insane amounts of money the prince was spending. Also heard his old man reigned him in and that's why the top fuel (and other) sponsorships dried up. Would be surprised if AJ was into anything illegal. They are saying over on the Bullet that AJ has a 3 yr deal starting next year with someone. He is too good to be out of it too long.

Havent been on the bullet, normally only go over there for classified. To much racist stuff always ends up in every thread.

Same but not the same necessarily, Jeg's just gives in for a season also.
Not that he has an issue with sponsor's, but still odd.
Maybe it has something to do with the new rules for PS going into effect?

I don't think it has anything to do with Alan Johnson. It is an indictment against NHRA and statement about the horrible state of affairs the NHRA is in. Force has said in interviews on the big end of the track that his team is still not fully funded. Any time you see a manufacturer's name on a car that doesn't normally carry that livery it is an illustration of that. Ford only puts it's name on Roush cars to help out with races they don't have sponsors for. Chevy only puts its name on John's car for races it was otherwise unsponsored for, just like that other company was doing for Alan Johnson as stated in the article. Bottom line is Alan Johnson's team isn't the only successful NHRA team struggling financially. Pulling out right before the countdown should be a huge wake up call to the NHRA.
