airbag replacement

airbags went off in my car(99 camaro) prior to my purchase and I am now replacing both airbags and going back to a stock steering wheel. Passenger side was completed last month and I'm finally doing the driver side. I have a stock steering wheel and airbag... is there anything else I should be replacing?
Is there a reset procedure so the airbag light goes off and the system will work if involved in an accident?

Or is this a simple disconnect the battery, remove old steering wheel connect wires for the airbag and horn and install steering wheel.

The impact switchs sometimes fial after a event. Best to have the system tested by a dealer.

went off from an accident or did someone cause it?
The SDM is supposed to be replaced

Looks like someone cut the plug that goes into the airbag off the SIR COIL. damnit.

That is what i'm going to do, looking for sir coil(clockspring) and SDM...
