Air cooled VW engine core

Looking for any old air cooled VW engine. Looking to make some man-cave art, so a core is fine, no pistons is fine, would like something with cases, heads, pushrod tubes etc, but can be bare inside. Externally complete I guess.

Free is great, I am not going to flip it, just clean it up and bolt it on the wall next to my Trabant engine.

I degrease 3 or 4 motors a month for a guy who rebuilds them. I can see if he has any junk ones he's willing to get rid of. I don't know next time he'll come in the shop though, he was just in last week to pick up 2 I did for him.

Definitely unique. If he had a trashed jug and head I'd love to have it . My motor was new but somebody made off with one of the heads and cylinders before I got it.

I think the bus trans cases are the ones to toss into the fire. A friend had a place up north... there was the bus trans and old oil fire pit...... and the one you cooked food over.

Beetle ones burn fine, you need a good hot fire to light them tho
