Advice on fuel pickup tube

I had the one like glens performance and it worked good the 10an is like a garden hose so trying to route it is a little hard but managable and I ran mine with a holley blue pump, but the pump really depends on your setup

How much HP and what pump do you intend to use. Most pumps aren't designed to draw fuel up to be fed. So this will hinder the performance of the pump, and also be hard on it. Unless you are buying a pump specially designed to pull fuel up, and self prime that way. 99% of pumps out there are designed, and rated as gravity fed. Sumps are about 70 and installing is about 50 to 60, so why not sump, besides it hanging low? This is the exact reason i went with a cell in the trunk, but it's not for everybody.

Just remember, it has to pull fuel up hill, through a filter. So choose wisely, it may not be worth the trouble in the long run. And yes i know people who have run these, cartech sold them when i worked at Ramchargers, but i never seen one used on anything over 400 to maybe 500HP, nor would i recommend it.
 
Instead of buying a pickup tube, can you swap fuel hats?? Plenty of cars running around with your engine setup using in-tank pumps and the stock fuel hat.

I have run that kind of set up on two of my cars....Going to use it on my 3rd car.....All street cars....Used a SX pump on all of them....

Zero issues with them....Although, I got mine from Goran @ CPR....

I have seen several SX pumps used in this configuration. Never an A 1000. Would be interesting to know if they lived.

BTW i forgot to mention, the SX pump is what we sold with every cartech pick up. Never a compaint, but i only knew of 3 i seen run/work. The rest were customer cars that i never heard a complaint from?
 
you could use glenns sleeper tank, I have it on my car. I was going to use the pickup tube but they gave me a good deal on the sleeper tank. I am sure if you asked they would do the same for you.
