Adding remote start to newer car?

If I try to add a remote start to a newer car(2014), how many key chains and remotes would i have to carry around?
A 2014 focus, key has buttons on it for lock unlock and trunk...
I like the one key with all buttons, but I don't like to have a pocket full of keys and remotes and crap like that.

On my f-250 the dealer added the remote start to it. I have one extra fob with one button. It's small enough you don't notice it and works from a long distance. Might be worth looking into.

The new Fords with add on remote starts from the dealer are pretty nice. Usually they're small single button fobs and all wiring/module is plug and play with a brief programming procedure. The old dealer installed starters required some splicing (not a fan) and most current aftermarkets still do. Personally, I would avoid all aftermarket solutions and stick the with Ford accessory.

What kind of car is it? I can retrofit factory remote start to basically anything GM makes or has made.

EDIT: I am a dumbass and missed the obvious 2014 focus ROFL Sorry! :D

That's what I am after, no cutting or splicing.
I can get this at the stealership?

I was looking at expresskit.com they have plug and play units that use the key fob to start, not too pricy either.

You should be able to. I looked it up for my 14 ST but it is not applicable to a stick shift car so I never went as far to call the dealer to see if they had any.

You can literally install it yourself. Disconnect the DLC (which is now a module as of 2012/2013) plug in the inline harness/remote start module. Secure it up in the dash somewhere away from the steering column. I'd have to look up the programming procedure but I am positive its a few minutes worth of pressing buttons and its done.

That would be helpful!
Thanks for the info...

My father-in-law had remote start added at the dealership on his 2014 F150. They gave him a new key fob with an additional button for the remote start. Give Varsity parts a call and see if they offer the same for the Focus.
