A local guy found my site doing a search for welders, and asked me about working on his Honda CBR. It's an early 90s model, and he was looking to "update" the look a bit. He had the rear fascia stripped and had a smaller piece he wanted to fit on. He also wanted it boxed in to hide some wires and the battery. Pics aren't the best, but they give you an idea of what went on.
This is at the start, he put the wires there to show the angle he was looking for.

Cut the frame, bent it up. There is enough re-enforcement in the finished product that I wasn't worried about the heated/bent area being too weak. I don't have pics to show it, but I did re-weld and smooth that "kinked" area down.

Cut and bent the new bottom tubing

tacked it up

The rear bracket, drilled and tapped for the back mounting tabs of the fascia. He's gonna mount two small taillights here too.

Using the new plasma to cut the sheet metal for the box

Bottom plate welded on

the sides

front "gussets" in place

front mounting tab/brace, not yet drilled and tapped for the front mounting tabs

fascia mounted up

The owner is picking it up tomorrow, sounds like he's gonna try to build a fiberglass seat pan for it. I think he's gonna keep the frame silver, and paint the "boxed" part black. Should look cool.
