Ok I am about to go look at a 5 Speed 1990 Mustang GT 0 Rust and only has 100k Miles for 4900 OBO So im guessing like around 4500? Is this a good deal?

See i was feeling the same thing. Ill see what he says when I check it out.

Is it just me or are all Mustangs over priced on craigslist and in Michigan ATM?

depends on the condition of it..mods? stock? blue book is only about 3k, so you better be paying cash or have some good collateral

Are they getting rare? Always. They dont make them anymore, and every one that gets wrecked, rusted out, parted out, or turned into a racecar makes less of them out there. (on the street anyway).

Good news is that they made them for a long time. 79-93 If your not stuck on it having to be a 4 eye or aero nose or even an original v8 car. Some people do the swaps "right".

Cars from the late 70's to 80's in the salt belt that have been driven year round are all but dissappearing. How many 77 oldsmobiles do you see? not many, and they made a MILLION of them that year alone.

Other cars that are all but dissappearing, Escort gt's, T-bird turbo coupes, probe gt's, taurus sho's, Ford exp's, the GMG-body cars (gn's, monte ss's, etc). Hell even the DSM (talon, laser, etc) cars are dropping like flies.

As for value on that gt. hard to say. I paid 4400 for my Lx 4 years ago, with more miles on it. BUT, I knew the owner, and it had a folder of reciepts of maintenance for the last 5 years totalling double what I paid for it. New top, carpet, seat covers, all maintenance, new exhaust headers, etc etc.

If its really really clean, yeah that price doesn't scare me. in the 3K range would be nice, but how soon do you want a car, and how far are you willing to travel? Deals do pop up, but rust free stangs that aren't hacked up or beaten to death in MI can be hard to find. Especially if you want a certain color or trans.

I have a buddy that has a Black Notch back that is mainly stock and very clean. It has been converted to 5-lug and has 17" DD bullets, 17x8 up front and 17x10.5" out back. 5-speed.

He is thinking of selling and I think he was in the 6-7K range. If you are looking at buying a mustang you should look at his....its real nice.

His name is Jason 810-434-9659

I think it is worth paying a little more for a clean unmolested fox.....They are becoming more and more rare. Everyone turns them into race cars or hacks them up (depending on who does it). They are rusting away ect.. I will own another Fox one day, and i would for sure pay a little more for a nice clean stock one.

Who looks up the book value of a 20 year old car anyway? If a 20 year old car has been well kept up and had lots of stuff replaced in that process, good shape, no rust, the book has no clue what you're looking at anymore.

X2, KBB means nothing with that age.

I think its priced well considering its a no rust car that im assuming has a nice body and is mechanically sound.

Welp I got a 1995 5.0 5-Speed Mustang GT now as of today!

Its Yellow Hard Top with ~94,000

Guess I have to change my name now

Also thanks guys for price tips!
