A couple cool little bikes I did this week:)

This one I did for a guy on the h.a.m.b., it's some kind of kawasaki powered chopper.

This is kind of a take on an old school Harley bobber. I usually sandblast and wire wheel the whole thing before I clearcoat the bikes, but I digged the darker look of this one so I just sanblasted the zinc residue out of the engine then just wiped it all down before painting.

And this is a Cannondale bike I did for a customer.

And here are a few tig welds I did a few weeks ago....just practicing.

This is a 3g weld, which means it's a groove welded vertically. A 3/8" plate, with about a 37* bevel on each side. Basically the cover pass is all you see. It should lay down just above the surface of the base metal with no undercut.

And these are just different beads...the little t-fillets make good paperweights(the pics are each a different one):)

A couple mig beads:

nice job. I'm going to get one of those cheapo chinese tig/plasma/arc combo's soon. I got a good mig, but i've always wanted to learn how to tig

Those motorcycles are awesome! You should sell them at a flea market
Thanks! I usually don't have too many problems selling the bikes. I've got a few in a gallery in Mt. Clemens, in a shop in Milwaukee, a store that's coming soon(I'm sure it'll be on this board shortly) at 14 and harper, and in my online store. Word of mouth and an art exhibit have sold a couple as well:) I haven't really advertised at all yet, phase one is ongoing!

NOOO! I can't say too much, I haven't really used them. But good luck if you need something fixed! I love my Miller stuff, and they just came out with and AC/DC inverter tig that you can get ready to weld(minus bottle) for under 1400. I'll being looking to get one of their plasma cutters in the spring.

Bikes look awesome but damn look at those welds!! BEAUTY!!

Thanks man!

Where is the welder smillie???!!!

wow you have some serious talent! do you/would you weld in sub-frame connectors?

Right now I don't have any room in the shop for cars, but I can do some mobil stuff. I'll send you a pm.

Doing the bike and car sculptures is cool, but nothing beats laying a nice bead. I'm trying to find more ways to incorporate them into art pieces. I was at the DIA earlier this year and saw a lot of metal stuff with horrible welds, when they could have(should have) been an intrical part of the sculpture.

really skilled man, there are some aero space jobs out there that would bank you pretty well if you go for the cert.

we have a plasmatherm unit in our garage, plasma cutters are worth there weight in gold to any fabricator.
