I guess I never started a thread over here, lol. I'll just copy what I have so far from another thread of mine...

A short history about the car... I bought it 100% stock in '07 and went 13.01@107 with a JLT CAI and full exhaust (Bassani mids, Bassani catted x, and FR500 catback). I was so frustrated by this that I said "F" 12s, I'm going for 11s. I bought a Vortech S-trim the next week that ended up putting down 502/433 on 10psi at just 6k rpm (ran out of fuel). The stock transmission and rear end crapped out on me so those were replaced with a fully built T56 and a Torsen T2R/4.10 gear combo for the rear. This combo netted me 11.80@123 one of the two occasions I was able to make it to the track in ’08, but I had plenty of fun on the street. Obviously, there was plenty left on the table and my terrible 60’ skills and shortshifting at 6k were taking a toll on my ETs.
From there, the car snowballed. I took it out once in April of ’09 and decided I wanted to change a few things up. Initially, this was going to be a new a/a intercooler setup and a suspension change. From there, it went to pulling the motor for a build and eventually selling the Vortech and T56 for higher hp turbo numbers on the horizon. The car has been sitting since last April and I’m getting damn restless. Of course, I’ve had another project to keep me busy in the meantime, another 99 Cobra I picked up for daily duties that quickly acquired an eaton swap and put down 456/402 on 8psi. Nevertheless, its time to focus my concentration back on my money pit and get this thing done for a road trip scheduled for May 14-16.
Pics of the old Vortech days…
Where it sat for ’09…
Now, where it is now… I’ll be grabbing random stuff from my other thread on a different forum until I catch you guys up.
My roommate and I will be building everything from the ground up. I’m actually pretty nervous about the short block assembly because I’ve never done one before and this stuff doesn’t come cheap.
Teksid that came out of the car (64k miles)
CP Pistons, 11cc
Manley 03/04 rods
Worked over stock forged crank
I’ve decided to delete basically everything in the engine bay so this will be a manual brake/manual steer setup. I also plan on shaving down the front cover to include nothing but the timing marks, since I won’t be running anything but the crank pulley, water pump, and alternator
Also, to resolve the whole non-heated garage issue, I decided to bring EVERYTHING into the house, lol. I set up the entire front end on an engine stand so I can mock up the turbo hotside and not have any surprises when I install it back in the car (or hopefully very little)
The sway bar isn't on in the pictures but I made an adapter plate to mimic the bottom of the frame rail so I can bolt the sway bar pretty much exactly where it should sit while in the vehicle.
I also had the summit parts come in:
We have feeler gauges, ARP piston ring compressor, an oil cooler (doesn't work for shit) FRPP delete, and a meziere (edit) inline thermostat housing. I'm going to postpone the motor build until I finish the turbo kit so we'll see how fast I can get this turned around.
The "holset" inlet flange came in but it was wrong. The guy sent me a standard t4 sized flange. I'll be modifying the turbo to fit the flange now. This way, when I'm ready to upgrade, I'm not restricted to holset turbos.
