99 cobra (anybody interested?)

i will sell for 12,500 and that's it! i found a car i want need money! who ever buy's for 12,500 is getting one hell of a deal! look on ebay and see what a stock one is going for!

need cash! must sell! $12,500.00 that's a deal and you guy's know it! if i don't sell it on here i'm putting on ebay i thought i would give you guy's 1st on it!
 
Bullshitter? pffft If you can't take a cashiers check, that's your hangup. Very few people are going to drive to a strangers house with 13k cash in their pocket. The owner of the cobra he just bought didn't seem to have a problem with a cashiers check. I would have taken him to pick it up so his delivery questions were not deal breakers. He seems to be correct in his assessment of your personality tho.

sorry but i'm not trying to make friend's just trying to sell a car! told him a would take a cashier check but he was not getting the car until it cleared! and as far as cash goes every car i buy i bring cash ! and i have taken checks in the past after they cleared! and as far as my personality goes i don't have one when it comes to guy's wasting my time!

Man why are you so are harsh.. I know a few multi-millionaires and none of them would be walking around to meet some dude selling a car with 10K cash plus, "Good deposit yes" it is just not practical. Certified or cashiers check is as good as cash. You are narrowing your market by ten fold, so dont get all pissy when somebody makes you and offer that is good for it!:rolleyes:

i will take a check but i would not give car until check's cleared! so if that make me harsh and pissy then so be it!:rolleyes:

Mark, man o man why do you have to be such a jackass? LOL Why don't you just take the guys word that his check is good. That should be more than enough in today's world. What a dipshit thinking he can show up with a check and just leave with the car. Some people. :shake:

you no all the car's i have sold over the year's never had a problem! i list a car on here and you get a couple of guy's that no intention on buying anything they just run there mouth's! then i have a guy pm me and basically say his buddy want's to throw down with me! :bowrofl:
 
There is no room for threats on MM, so you could probably report the person. We gotta keep it a friendly atmosphere!

You guys are actually wrong, and he is actually correct. I don't accept cashiers checks or bank checks. I buy and sell vehicles with cash only, even ones that are much more expensive than this one. A cashiers check is NOT as good as cash, and I know of at least 3 incidents when people have been BURNED selling cars this way. The last one was a couple years ago, a lady sold her Expedition for 26k, only to later find that it was a real cashiers check for $6.

If you're scared to carry cash, the deal needs to be done at the bank, period. If this guy said he would let the car go when the check cleared, he did the right thing.
 
this must be one of the few vehicle sale threads that made it 140+ posts..... anyway sweet car and its a steal at that price...ebay would probably fetch you around 14. Good luck!
 
I wouldn't take a cashiers check and let someone drive away with a car either. I would, however, meet them at their bank and cash it, then let them have the car.

If you are selling and don't want to meet someone at their bank to get paid, fine, that's your choice. To go on a public forum and say that they are bullshitters, boners, broke asses that have to get a loan, that's a personal attack which is uncalled for.

Well, off I go to my CU. I am meeting another board member to buy their car ...with a cashiers check.
