The fan clutch is thermal
When you start the car when it is cold. Is the fan clutch engaged? Or does it engage when it warms up. I drove my Jeep to operating tempature tonight. Then got out and had the wife shut it off while I looked at the fan. It spun for about 3-4 seconds after engine stopped running. Should it spin freely when cold?

throw an electric or flexfan on it and take it out of the equation, if the car is off it should still be fairly hard to spin but it deff should not free coast at operating temp.

by the looks of it i would say you prolly take it off roading alot, generally that would create alot of heat and cause the clutch to engage fully which in turn robs u of much needed torq if it were mine i would throw a 16" electric fan with an external thermal switch itll cost about $75 a new fan clutch is prolly 35-50
