97 gmc jimmy question

for the last month or so my check gages light comes on, it is the oil pressure gage. so Im not sure what is causing it. but in the last few days I have noticed something. a couple of times I have been sitting in the truck, engine off, but the key in the on position so I could listen to music. and the check engine light will flash on and off like it does when the truck is running. so Im thinking that it might be a sending unit, or something electical. any ideas?

no, actually the motor runs beautifully. no noise no hesitation, nothing.

Probably a sender, if the key is on, your check engine light may be flashing you a trouble code.

i doubt it because it is an irregular flash some may be a second or two others are a split second.

theres a ohm spec for the sensor in the service manual you need to check the sender
