'97 Freightliner FLD 120. I'd give her a 7 out of 10. Truck has 650k miles on it. Series 60 Detroit Diesel. They claim these things don't have to be rebuilt until 1M miles. I bought it about a year ago and have only put 3-4k miles on it. I had it tuned up at Kerry Brother's in Detroit where they changed belts, lubed all joints, DOT inspection, changed oil/filters, etc. It runs and drives great. Eaton 10-Spd Fuller trans. Jake brakes, air brakes, air horn, cb ratio, all that fun trucker stuff.

Trailer is no beauty but gets the job done. 1989 40 ft Pace. You're pretty much getting the trailer for free anyways. I'm not looking to separate the two because the truck has been adapted to work with the gooseneck style receiver. This adapter can be removed so that the truck can be used as normal but it's currently titled as an RV so using it for business might require some additional paperwork.

Pat and myself learned to drive it on the way home from picking it after never having driven a big truck. You don't have to have a CDL either (neither of us do obviously) but you should have some common sense because the truck itself is 18k lbs and with a trailer fully loaded you're talking about a lot of potential energy.

How many cars will it fit? Pics of the interior of the trailer?
You can get two but they will need to be close. Think it's 32 feet from the back door to the start of the gooseneck portion.

Here's a picture I took after we loaded up Pat's Jetta which we used to drive down to almost Miami to pick up the truck and trailer.

I'll get better pictures and dimensions when I get back in town which will hopefully be late this week.

Any idea what you were getting for mileage on the way back after purchasing it? Thanks.
13 mpg but we took a couple wrong turns and ended up going through a bunch of hills in Tennessee. And we had it pegged at the 70 mph limiter the entire time. The previous owner said we'd get about that.

With dual 140 gallon tanks, that's about a 3600 mile range. And one hell of a trip to the pump!

I would also consider someone who wanted to trade up an open trailer with F150/C1500 + cash because I will still need something to move it around town and a big stacker is not good for doing that.

Fuzzy math probably. You'd have to fill that thing up to the brim in both tanks and run it for awhile and then fill it back up to the brim to get a real number. I just looked it up and 6-8 mpg is what people are saying but that might be pulling a fully-loaded 50k lb trailer too. The trailer with car is under 10k so maybe there's somewhere that lists what the truck would get by itself?

Pat's Durango with a small open would only get 8 mpg. I think his tank had a inch hole in it or something. My f150 with same trailer got like 13.

I've seen a few trucks get "decent" mpg. It might be better then your 5mpg Wizeguy, just due to it being a single axle tractor, and the trailer is nothing compared to the bed you have on your dump plus all your hydraulics and multiple axles lol. So it might do better then 5. But if it really gets even close to 13 then DAMN!!! I am kicking this truck/trailer around in my head as I need something in the near future to haul long distance. This would save money since I can sleep in the darn thing and hang out around it for the weekend at the track. Hmmmmmm.

I love the idea of having this and the price seems really good......but where the hell would I keep it??
