97 cobra (isolating a collapsed lash adjuster)

So ive got an upper end tick (loud) and im trying to find the culprit. Can anybody give me info or advice from experience?
 
I get what he means. There are followers and hydraulic lash adjusters....

Can you tell what side the noise is coming from? Have you checked to make sure the plugs are tight? I had a 96 GT that had a couple loose plugs and it sounded like the thing was gonna come apart...how many miles are on it?

Pass side. Havent checked plugs. 140k
 
Already got the valve cover off just havent checked plugs. I pulled the motor toward driver side and removed throttle body. Some people recovee ac and remove the line that runs along the strut tower.
 
Looks like one is more "pumped up" than the other. Both are at base circle. Should these bleed down at all while at base circle or in general?
