Ive been reading a lot for the past few days on 1996 mustang gt's and their oil pressure gauges as well as other gauges in the cluster acting up a lot. My question is that my oil pressure gauge reads about in the middle of the N on the "N O R M A L" scale on the gauge. Sometimes it dips slightly to the left but still on the N. The it may go up to the O/R range. While reving the motor the gauge doesnt move at all. :headscrat I have been reading that it could be a bad sender (lots of people blamed this), a bad gauge it self or electrical issue with it, a clogged sending unit tube???, or that the oil pump pickup tube is clogged or the pump is just going bad. I would really like to figure this out and fix it this week....thanks motown

I know the later model cars have a connector over by the battery cable and selenoid. It is black, single wire and has brown wire in it. They are very prone to corrosion and can cuase problems. It should be a small wire if it is there.
