"95 Talon The Build Goes On!

wide winger

Motown's very own village idiot!
This thing is about done.

Finish fuel feed line, drive shaft, safety loop and exhaust installation, check operation of fuel level indicator and operation of fuel pump and hit the starter switch for the first time since February.

I look over to my dwindling stack of stuff, I'm now about out of parts to put back on the car!

Wow...any more pics of the body? That thing is squeaky clean, like assembly line clean!! We have a couple of those in the yard and the whole under carragies are just rusted away.....especially where the rear suspension bolts up and the rockers meet the quarters!!

Clean car. Very nice!!

Did you do a rotisserie restoration on it? Or were they painted on the underside form the factory and you were able to clean it up?

I had to clean and paint the bottom of the car, it came in primer from the factory, plus that spray on sealant crap they use was a real bear to remove, never did get it all, so I did what I wanted and left the rest for a later date.

I don't think he ever LET it get dirty! Lol. But I could be wrong.

First three years of ownership, drove it year around. Did notice the right was dirtier than the left side when I started cleaning up parts of the factory suspension.

This whole project ball started rolling when the motor needed more fuel than the Cosmo pump could deliver during the last dyno session.
Was just gonna replace the tank. lines and pump, but after dropping the rear end and being this close to having it out the temptation was too great, I had to install a tubular rear subframe.:icon_wink

It's funny how that snowball keeps getting bigger and bigger, huh? Keep up the good work, looks awesome!!

Got it fired up Saturday but the mini-battery is a goner, wont hold a charge to save it's life so I was afraid to take it out on the street, if I stalled it, it would not have enough juice to turn it over. So time for a new one.
One more mini since I don't want any more down time for a while.

Next upgrade, full size battery and relocate to the rear, in a couple of years!

And a little video of the 2G idling after mods have been completed!

Sorry for the crappy video. Just click on the Eagle pic and off you go!
