'94 Firebird formula

Sitting home bored and I thought I'd update the build thread since I haven't posted in a while. Car is parked for winter, though I'm not sure why with this weather lol. Winter projects are:
- Install wideband
- Get nitrous hooked up (probably 100 or 150 shot)
-Clean up wiring in engine bay
- Remove the ABS crap and replace with willwood bias adjuster
- Install projectors/HIDs
- 5% tint
- I really need new tires. With all that brake in the front it needs more grip, and the tires in the back are bald. Probably going to go with 285F/295R Nitto NT05s. I had those on my 17x11s and liked them a lot.

I also am having some valve covers powder coated by 347convert, and couldn't stand the thought of the ugly stock truck coil brackets on nice covers. I found these coil brackets made by MA Performance and thought they looked cool so I grabbed a set.

Traded a set of C5 wagon wheels for a Edelbrock strut tower brace and a Summit Racing differential cover this weekend, I'll toss them on once it's a little warmer. Who know when the diff fluid was last changed.

Mini update: been a slow winter because i got into shooting pistols so now the car has to share it's budget lol. I just finished up getting the Wideband and bottle warmer in. I still need to replace the plugs, and make the little thing for the IAT sensor to pull timing for the spray and get a fitting to hook a pressure gauge onto the bottle and then it'll be ready to spray the 5.3.

As soon as it goes back to spring I've got a little pile of parts to get installed (valve covers, diff cover, STB, LCA relocation brackets) but nothing too fun.

Here's a pic of the new Innovate PSN-1 wideband for nitrous that I got, it's got some pretty cool features. It will automatically stop spraying if it leans out or the bottle pressure drops below set amounts, and it's got a RPM window switch built into it.

Are those switches in the AC vent for the climate control?

I amassed a decent pile of parts over the winter as well. As soon as the weather breaks I am down for some cruising. I live on the other side of Stockbridge.

Their for the windows, I don't have any interior so there wasn't many places to put them. Under the dash is completely empty so the vents are useless.

I forgot to put this at the and of the question

interiors are overrated anyways.

I agree lol My car was gutted when i got it, i traded my '00 GTP for it. Since then i've taken even more out lol. Its got a kirkey in it now but i think it'll eventually get swapped out for a heavier seat, unfortunately. Since i got it I've had some medical issues come up and it kills my back now. I'd really like to see what it weighs, i've never had it on a scale.

I'm going to try and make it to a lot of car events now that i'm now working as much OT this year, so maybe we can get some convoys going and meet up for some cruising!

Absolutely. Our numbers dropped as well and it looks like we may have some time off this summer. My buddy owns that hot rod place in Stockbridge. He has a nice inventory of cars and he plans on doing some cruising.

Hopefully you can find a seat that wont kill you to sit in for a couple hours. We have some really nice play areas out this way ;)

Got the tune richened up a little now that I got the wideband in and found out it was a little leaner and I like. I also got my new valve covers on, I'll try and get pics tomorrow in the sunlight.

I drove it around a little last night, these lights are amazing! The amount of light on the road is crazy compared to the stock lights! and no light wasted shining above the cutoff, where the old ones you could see light way up on road signs and such! It's so nice having projectors again, I had a retrofit in my old GTP and going from those to the shitty sealed beam lights in the bird blew. Retrofits are so easy, I strongly suggest looking into them if you want HIDs in one of these old cars. an afternoon with some hole saw and some glue and you've got badass custom lights.

Here's the ones I had on my old car, Morimoto Mini projectors into stock housings painted black. For as cheap as you can build a set of retrofits there is really no excuse to be running HIDs in reflector housing other than just being a dick to other drivers lol

Finally ordered tires last night! I'm going back to a square setup with the 18x10.5" wheels and went with 295/35/18 fronts and 295/45/18 back to hopefully fill up the wheel wells better. I might have to do some rolling in back to fit the 28" tires but it'll look cool lol. I got a awesome deal with Discount tires Memorial Day sale ($135 in rebates) Hopefully they'll be here this weekend, I think a couple of them will be here today.
