93 z28 low oil pressure

i was offered a trade for my conquest a 93 z28 lt1 the car has 150k on it and the guy said it runs and drive fine no engine noise but it has low oil pressure.

what would cause the oil pressure to be low and how difficult would it be to fix the problem?

should i take the trade or not?

would rather have a conquest than an lt1 just me though, is it showing low on the cluster or is there a autometer style oil pressure gauge.

eather the oil sending unit is getting bad b/c of the electrical crappy guages, oil hasnt been changed in a long time and loosed consistcy, or the motor is getting weak and loosing pressure.. sounds like you should keep the conquest.. Those are nice turbo cars!

whats considered low? All the z-28 Lt1's ive seen are common to have around 20 psi at idle and warm

My 95 z28 had low oil press also,when it was warmed up it would be down about 15# at idle,but driving it would go up to about 40#,it always concerd me but it never failed or ticked,it had 123k on it.
