92 Tempo V6 $600 OBO
Listing this for my GF:
92 tempo, has some front end damage from a small accident (was like that when she got it 3 years ago). Hood has a dent in it, front grill has a crack, just some minor cosmetics. Taylor auto salvage has a lot of tempo's and their hoods are only $42 if you want to replace it. Body is in decent shape.
Has 83k on the clock, starts and runs good. Recently the car has had new:
Spark plugs & Wires (just tuned it up last week)
Tires all around
Starter
Coil
Brand new battery (got it with plugs n wires last week)
Radiator
New radiator coolant hoses
Installed fuel cutoff switch
Car also has a JVC cd player in it. Good starter car to get around or for first car.
Problems with the car:
Fuel pump relay went (and it's part of the car's BCM, so I didn't wanna F with it), so I installed a fuel pump switch.
Heat doesn't work. Heater core is bad. I was planning on replacing it but I THINK you have to pull the dash to get to it on this particular model. The V6 tempo is pretty rare and it's very hard to find solid information on it (even with the chiltons manual), so I'm not sure if you have to pull the dash. You might be able to get to it behind the shifter or something. Could be an easy fix for all I know.
Other than that it's a good little car. Fuel pump relay went over the coldest part of the winter and we said screw trying to fix it without a heated garage and we went to la fontaine and got her an 02 celica that day. So the car has barely been driven since then.
PM me if you're interested and I'll give you my cell. Car is in Detroit.
