nice build. g/l with it and keep us posted. i may steal some of your ideas for my notch. the c/m bumper looks intriguing. not to hijack, but anyone care to comment on fitment, or throw up the link to the guy who makes them. i recall seeing it a while back.

No good for a street car IMO. Tap anything and your front is Fu&cked! Also at the track, can you imagine the damage that would occur it you hit the wall with that toy on the front?

It is only alittle weight....

I was putting the front bumper on mainly for intercooler clearance and whatnot.

I know without the bodyshocks and stuff in there the whole front is now a solid piece and will probably bend all out of shape if I hit anything.

I may reconsider, especially if I don't use the intercooler. I might scrap that and just put a meth kit on there but I've never played with those so I was avoiding it for the time being.

Your the same guy from NMRA that wanted the firewall plate, correct? If so, when it warms up you can stop by and I'll give it to ya for making you wait so long!!!!

That bumper fit perfectly. I had to unbolt the old fiberglass one, and then pull out the body shocks. After that, it bolted right up. A quick coat of rattlecan later and it was good to go.

I also have one for the rear but I didn't get to that just yet. You can get these from a guy named '302man' on the nmra board. I think he's Dothan Racing or something like that. He had a pretty reasonable price for them too.

Also, some other credit where credit is due: The head were by Total Engine Airflow in Ohio and all of the engine machine work was done by Thompson Automotive in Reford. If anyone is looking for a good shop they are really nice to deal with and had a fast turn around time.

Yeah, that's me. I won't need the plate for a while because my garage isn't big enough to use a cherry picker in so I have to wait until spring to set the engine in the bay.

Just let me know when's good for you and I can pick up that plate. Without EFI & a heater there's TONS of holes in the damn firewall.

I just wish I could weld.

Took some more pics today:

Does anyone think I'm missing bars on the cage? I'm not sure what's really required to be there, specifically a bar that would go behind the dash.

I did not do the cage. I wish I had skills like that.

A guy named Mike Powers from the Rockwood area did it out of his garage. He used chromemoly and tigged everything.

I want to get some cash together and take it to Team Z for a dash bar and an antiroll bar in the back.
