9 Hellcats stolen?

You can't park these cars outside at night at expect to keep them. Someone needs to come out with a third party solution to however they're being taken so easily.

It is almost funny to watch the criminal masterminds in Detroit continually come up with new ways to steal shit. If they could only harness that energy for good!

A buddy of mine is an engineer for CSX Rail and says the same thing: criminals in Detroit constantly break into rail cars and have learned how to disconnect the rail cars. He jokes that would consider hiring them as they already know how to work the hardware!

There is a group on FaceBook named "Stolen Cars Detroit MI" where people post info on cars which have been stolen. An overwhelming number of them are Challengers, Chargers and Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. One woman got security video footage of her Trailblazer SS being stolen in 26 seconds in downtown Clawson. It is my opinion that these thieves have figured out how to circumvent the ignition and I would not be surprised if they were being exported.

The FB page "stolen cars Detroit, Mi" is one of the best ones on social media.

99% of these cars stolen locally are not being exported. If you are buying used have local police check the public VIN to the secondary VIN's if there is a discrepancy your local police can have an auto theft detective check the confidential VIN, It's only way to protect yourself. if you purchase a nice SRT for 30-40k then find out after it was stolen or a fraud related past, you will be out the car and 40k. I have seen cars with multiple liens and the banks fighting over who will get it back but in the end you would be out the car and money.

Is that a risk when buying from a private party or can it happen if you finance a used vehicle from a dealership

This is why I normally purchase my vehicles one of two ways;

- Government auctions.

- Original, one owner vehicles.

Never had a problem with these, never heard of a problem.

every fca key I ever tried to program on my own cars, you need an existing key.....these theifs must have quite a tool
