9 Hellcats stolen?

The guy says in the post he has the title in hand, and the title is in his name. Seems like his car got stolen and he's selling what's left.

I have to think there is some club-style deterrent that would help with this. Since it seems the thieves are shopping for these cars, something to make them think twice while you are in the restaurant is all you need.

Some automakers are deleting the manual park release (MPR) cable. I wonder if Dodge will follow suit.

A lot are getting pushed away. Unhooking the MPR cable would prevent that

Holy shit, no wonder they're getting taken. I looked up what this was and there's a ton of youtube videos pretty much showing you how to steal these. Break a window and you can be pushing it away with your beater in about 20 seconds.

Remember folks, I live waaaaay out in the country....

So I get home today from a 40 mile bicycle ride, and a knock
at the door, Monroe County Sheriff's...

Me: Hello officer, what can I do for you?

Deputy: I'm here about a stolen Charger.

Me: A what?

Deputy: We have a "ping" showing a stolen Charger here.

Me: I just got home, but no Chargers here.

I then ask the Deputy to follow me. I walk him through my property
and show him my garages and pole barn (showing no Chargers).

I asked the Deputy questions and he answered them all, he was very
polite and he never asked to "search" anything.

A very weird occurrence to the the least.

Anybody know what a late model Hellcat drivetrain is worth?

I call BS on this story! lol

I wish - it did indeed happen today!

Another strange thing, in the last week two vehicles have
lost control and hit the ditch, and you know how huge
the ditches are out here!

Some of those Milan ditches will bury a full size truck.

This^^
Park the car, cut the wheels hard over, attach club or equivalent. All you have to do is make YOUR car not worth the extra effort, and they will steal the next one. There are obviously many to choose from.

I have relatives in Portland, Oregon who told me about a major bust of a warehouse with 10 or 15 shipping containers with stolen cars in them. Destination: China.
I think he said half of them were Chargers or Challengers.
