8pt cage mount convertible

heres some recent pictures of the roll cage i just put in. Still need to finish boxing in the backseat area, but cage is tied to the frame rails and rocker panels.Toatal car weight as of right now is 3,029 lbs.

Looks great, I like the welds. Did you bend it yourself?

bought the hoop but yes I did bend the door bars up to give me more room at the side and to bend around door armrest so I could keep door panels in tack.

Yea, this is an 86' Gt with roll up windows, no power locks, just a power top.I do have some more pics in my profile but Im sure I will add more as I keep tweaking it. There is so much yet to do but Im working on the wife's project which is an original 1965 Mercury Cyclone. Will post some pics of that soon. It's going to be sweet, restoring the car to its original looks, interior and exterior but I am going to update the drivetrain with a 92' 5.0Ho set up out of a Gt hatch w/low miles, 4 wheel disc brakes and all.

NIce ride. I was gona put a cage just like that in my 95 gt i had that was a vert. Looks good.
