89 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon
2.3L intercooled turbo
4 speed manual w/ electronic OD
RWD--open diffy

POS Autometer boost gauge--may have another laying around I can swap out
3" turbo back exhaust
leather--butt heaters don't work anymore thus the fuzzy seat covers :icon_mrgr
sunroof--manual with both tilt and retract

Having three kids made a minivan necessary and I just picked up a Windstar so the trusty wagon has to go(which makes me sad inside:shake
I have owned this car since Nov 06 and it has been very good to me.
The good:
Its a friggin' Volvo....boxy but good!
Tons of interior space....especially with the seats folded down
New alt and batt in Oct 06
new brake master cyl
4 new Kelly all season tires last fall
All new front suspension Sept 07--Bilsein HD struts, strut mounts, ball joints, tierod ends, swaybar endlinks, poly bushings
Only has one small spot of rust
Wagons are cool!
The bad:
Compression is only 5-9 psi above service limit....rings are going.....been like this as long as I've owned it(13K miles)
leaks some oil
turbo has some shaft play
needs rear shocks
crack in windshield
has some front end damage from a fender bender I was in last fall
rear hatch only locks manually
OD stopped working over the winter. The "5" light still comes on, but no OD. It is either the relay, OD solenoid, or the filter screens in the OD unit need to be cleaned. I have yet to make time to troubleshoot it. The only time it is missed is on the E-way.....I rarely used it during city driving.
No headliner
Ex mani to turbo gasket has started to leak.
The car also comes with Haynes and Chilton service manuals, factory service manual on CD, and a bunch of extra parts inc: 2 steel wheels w/snow tires, extra interior trim panels, spare wiper motor assembly....probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
For those unfamiliar with this chassis, the swap options are plentiful. I've seen SBC, 5.0, LSx, twin turbo LSx(google volvette!!), SR20, and many others. The bay on this thing is huge! Can someone say sleeper?
