****1986 Mustang GT 5.0L convertible - Auto - excellent condition PICS
I am selling the '86 convertible.
It has a new top with less than 150 miles on it (had it installed and drove it twice last fall) Car is in excellent condition, bone stock except it was converted to MAF and has aftermarket rims. Stock Exhaust.
NEW (w/ receipts)
Exhaust, brakes, trans rebuild (I think under warranty) New springs at each corner, New Strange 10 way adjustable shocks, New Convertible top, Newer Idler/Tensioner pulley, new battery.
Some new flat black paint (body molding, windshield frame, side mirrors, luggage rack) - see before and after pictures.
In the last 2 weeks:
1. Has a brand new built AOD trans, only a week old. Mild shift kit, will chirp second if aggressive.
2. I took off the Cats and added an H-pipe. It sounds incredible. Not too loud, but just enough.
I cruised around during the dream cruise and never had a problem - dropped the top and cranked the A/C and loved every minute of it.
$4,000 obo.
This is a Very very nice '86 Mustang, you will be hard pressed to find a convertible in this nice of condition. I'd prefer not to sell it to a younger driver who is going to beat on it and abuse it. Over the years I've had and restored many nice cars, I made the mistake of selling one to a 17y.o who totaled it 2 months later, driving like a knucklehead.
