86 Capri Project

well found out today the car should have ran a hell of a lot better than it did... we found it had an F303 cam and forged flat top speed pro pistons. well im thinking i got a good find here since it is .40 over and with the pistons all i need is a gaskets, rings, bearing, and my cam and shes done.... she may be out for summer is over. but i think we are gonna do some custom body/paint.... (no bodykits dont worry)

if you have the block dipped, you will need to hone it, then new rings then cam bearings and while your there 300.00 just clean it up and paint it

So, what you're saying is.... You're missing a few cams.

wtf?? no i was saying that when i started driving the car i thought it was stock cause it was so damn slow.. it had acceleration but no top speed. alex was saying they probably didnt set the cam timing or degree or something.... but yea its looking like it was kinda worth the buy. with all the parts that are in the motor and all. and the motor looked freshly built thats why im prolly not gonna have it dipped.

gonna go get my cam and new 5" autometer tach sometime this week... car is coming together quicker than i thought.

parts i accumulated today and yesterday:

brand new 5" autometer tach with shiftlight
tfs stage 1 cam (thanks 91mustang)
nos bottle with feedline and brackets (thanks SMOKEDU)

^ we can run em spray to spray but not me driving.... i couldnt shift and spray at the same time i would prolly blow up the motor (supposibly they are going to teach me how, but that will take time)... but i have a decent driver... but i will run u motor to motor....

Ive got a friend with the Trick Flow Stage 1 cam, sounds pretty good, definatley not the galloping horse sound of the B-cam though :D

^ yea i know they arent the same, but i know they are strong and similar to b and e cams... and can hold up some spray...
