86-87 GN Motor

i know a guy, let me track him down, its the same motor thats in a t-type right? its got a turbo?

if he wants to sell how much are you looking to spend?

I just need the motor. Don't need the turbo and all that stuff. Looking to spend maybe around 500. I have heads, rods, pistons, caps, crank, intake.

Eric, I spoke to a local guy last week who said he has 2 of them. I will give him a call and see what he has and how much he wants.

Thank you everyone.
I will give Bruce a call.

Andy, give me a yell on here when you find out about the motors. Thanks.

Uh, I think he pm's you the price, and you pm him the offer ;) That sucks to hear.

On to good news, I finally got my rods (after going through a different shop). So I have a Japanese cast block, forged crank, and American rods / pistons / studs / girdle kit.

I want to jump into this topic and say if any of these motors are from a g-body that's being parted out, I'd like to find an 8.5" rear from one. Sorry to sort of hijack this thread bird.

So picky scott, so picky.

Nice to hear things are coming along for you. Unfortunately, they are failing apart for me. :-/

Don't worry, I don't think I'll have a running car until next spring at the soonest (you'll probably be back together before then). Just look at this as a learning curve, and move on.

I look forward to seeing your car done.

If you don't mind, please share the problem. If we can't help, maybe we can learn from what happened. I'm building one of those buicks next year, and I'm curious. PM me if you want.
