Sounds like a nice piece!Bennet block, GRP rods, Hank's billet Crank, Etc.
Thanks! Sounds like you're building quite a monster there. I was surprised how light these cars are from the factory. I had a guy tell me his boxtop with a 351 windsor, stock suspension, factory k member, full interior with bench seat, and stock gas tank weighed 2871lbs! I'm curious what mine will weigh with all tubular suspension, 302 with aluminum heads/ intake, fuel cell, and gutted interior. I just cut the crash beams out of the doors which was about another 40 lbs. I can't wait to drive this car lol! I look forward to seeing yours completed also.Great job to date!
A friend directed me to this site as I'm building the exact same car and he thought I should have a look. Mine will be powered by a 4.6 4V with a turbo and we're shooting for 800-1000 RWHP. These cars are super light already and there's not a lot of weight to remove from them. The biggest joke is how much the aluminum bumpers weigh or don't weigh rather.
Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing its completion.
x2!^^^ This Is a SWEET ASS Fairmont.
Why you doing that?!hey jake if you wanna go windsor lmk im parting out my 383 carb to oil pan
