81 fairmont project

Got the front bumper painted and mounted finally. I did sink it in a couple inches like the rear bumper. Looks alot better that way.

Tucking the bumpers in makes such a huge difference in these cars. Looks killer!
I agree. It really changes the look of them. I finished the valance tonight. It turned out better than i thought it would. It only took a few minutes at the scrap yard and $10. I will post a pic tomorrow .

Looks great ! What Is keeping you from driving It ?
Right now my biggest issue is my lifters. I have the comp pro magnum hydraulic roller lifters and they are giving me nothing but problems. I might have to tear it down and replace a few. Some of them don't want to pump up. Besides that I need to swap my rear tires over to my new set of draglites then get the front aligned.

jake your prolly gonna have to drive it a little, just starting it in the driveway may not be enough for them to pump up,take it for an easy cruze so the oil gets hot and the motor is reved up making oil pressure.something tells me you will have a stroke at a young age,lol

LMAO @ The stroke.

jake, I agree with Joe as after mine sits for a few days they will tick but once I get some good heat in the motor they are fine. I have some Stock ones you can have. They have been 7500 rpm no issues lol.

I did take it down the road and still no luck. I'm gonna tear it down and send the bad ones back to comp and try to get some new ones. I'm not very happy right now considering they were $550.

Well I got it tore down today. It sucked having to pull the intake and head off just to get the lifters out but I have replacements on the way now. Hopefully everything works out this time because I'm not doing it again LOL. If I have to tear it down again I'm just gonna throw a solid roller back in and be done with it.
