8.8 5 lug 31 spline AXLE needed (Shorter Passenger Side ONLY - 27.620 in.)

ANYONE here have one Axle lying around (5lug)?

This is for my dads little Fairlane where we are narrowing a 2001 Explorer 8.8...
Essentially we will be using two Passenger Side axles.

Thanks Matt

That looks like a nice piece Gary... I am sure you need a good amount for that. What is the width? Those early Fairlanes are narrow with no play room for tire clearance.

My pops is wanting this done on the cheap as he thinks he is broke now that he retired. I picked this 8.8 up for him for $150 w/disc brakes. Really all he needs now is the one axle shaft then have it fabbed up to fit his car. It is a nice clean axle to start with and is .373 like he wants. Should take all the abuse the 331 will throw at it.

Not to crash your thread, but I'm looking for the exact same thing!

I still have an 8.8 from an explorer that is going in a '66 mustang. I'd like to get a short side also, so the pig is centered.

I don't have that floater, but something similar. I wanted to just showing you what a floater is. All of the brackets are available as bolt on....

How is your 1967 license plate? Ohhhhh, yeah...I still have it :)
