Button cars and trucks up tight folks, it's gonna be a messy move in year for ya! They are saying 8-10" Wednesday md day into Thursday night.

I remember some years back I put my drag boat in. Snowed like a bitch. They had these wash bays set up in the back corner for us to wash the slush and salt off everything, but the water was so freaking cold you could barely tolerate it. Like they pumped it straight from the river. Must have been a line of 50 cars to get washed. God that sucked!!

Bring on the snow....When it's winter, I expect it to be winter-like. Hell Sat., I was working in the garage in a T-shirt, then washed both the Mustangs....

First time in 20 years I'm not doing the show. It's been nice enough the last 6 years to Drove to and back home from show. This year is going to be much different. Sure glad I'm just going down to walk around this year and not to show a car. It's enough work with out bad weather.

Feel sorry for the people this year.

I don't have shit for autorama but I do hope There are no issues for Detroit Gearbox getting the trans back in the wife's Denali before this shit hits lol. Not sure how the flex will do in the snow.

Why do people bring new cars to this show?? Gosh can't handle people bringing new cars to these shows

If the cars a done right, a new car can be just as nice as the old ones. I do agree, what is the reason to have a stock new car in the show.

When the 2005 Mustang came out there were plenty of them in Autorama. When the PT cruisers came out, they were there too. If it is a cutting edge remodel I see why people enter them.

But I can also see them at a Dealer lot. Not why I am there... Maybe this is why I like thee crazy rides in the Basement.

Yea, I completely understand that. The basement has gotten better and better every year. I remember like 15 years ago when it was a bunch of junk and crap for sale. Then it looked like Fast and Furious. Now its pretty cool

I recall sitting in a snow storm for hours lined up behind Cobo waiting to get in with a vehicle...8-10 inches on the ground....it was a mess. This was maybe in 1980.
There were literately 100's cars & trailers lined up @ 10am. I think we made it in around 7-8pm.
So while were sitting in this long ass line, a Detroit cop decides to knock on my window and tell me I'm blocking traffic (which I was not) and to move. I'm like, your joking right, Ive been in this line for hours and I'm only 10 vehicles from the door, and you want me to get out of line, but yet everyone else gets to stay. WTF. I was pissed. Selective enforcement. He continued and said move or I'm going to impound your truck & trailer. I was fn pissed.... hes in the street carrying on... yelling at me. I got out and spoke to the guy behind me & in front of me.... told them this cop was a dick and needed them to hold my spot for me.... They agreed. I pulled forward and down the block... powered over the curb & snow bank and parked just on the edge the road ....dragging the trailer(I had a Monster Dodge Power wagon that would go through anything). Cop was in dis belief. He got even more pissed....I was in knee high snow.... I bitched out my window and told him I'm no longer blocking traffic... pointed at all the other cars and said go make them move.... he walked away and left me alone. We got inside and just about immediately they were bitching at me to pull my truck outside.... we pulled out a cooler of beer, locked the truck and went around looking at everyone's cars. They are on the PA bitching for me to move my truck (which was in the way of no one... just leaving a huge puddle of water from the melting snow...lol... finally bumped into Al Manor... he resolved the parking issue... Some how I don't miss those days.... fun but a lot of work .

I saw quite a few basement vehicles traveling up I75 today.. they were getting naturally patina'd by the salty slush.
