A lot of cool details on that car. Really like the Caltracs setup if it works how well they say it does.

How street friendly is a Lenco? I think it's a cool car, but most of it is a little too showy and over the top for me.

Looks EXTREMELY street friendly. Has the ability to shift like a manual but no need to lift off or misshifts and have the stall like characteristics.

They must be pricey or everyone would have one.

The only time I've ever see them are in race cars, that's why I asked.

You can do all those things with a manual valve body in an automatic trans as well.

very cool to see a lenco in action. is there a clutch on those?

edit: nevermind, did my homework.

they are pretty streetable. the trans freewheels when you downshiift or engine rpm in lower than outputshaft. uses like a 1way sprag

Just watched the video... very cool. What does one of those cost? Very cool!

there 6 grand or so..and there arent any gear ratios selections..a lenco is made up of individual cases for each gear..so u can build a 2 speed up to a 5-6 speed..and the number of "cases" you have determines the tranny gear ratios..

just an FYI the T56 i was looking at to handle the 1,500HP i was looking at making was almost 9 thousand bucks..not including a core
