64 Chevelle - Lots of Pics

Fuel tank is out...Pictures of the only rust that's on the car......

First pic is the original tank - Then you can see the pinholes in the metal above the tank. I still haven't found anyone who wants to replace the small amount of metal.

Picked up an aluminum 9" center section for my car...

Debating on whether or not to use my GForce trans in the car. I would have to change the gearing to make it more 'street friendly'. It currently has very close ratios for oval track racing. I would like to get a new style M22 for it..

Just about finished up with the trunk pan...Didn't think I'd need to replace the entire thing, but I did..Quite a bit of finishing work and a bit more fitting to do...Have to cut along the top and butt weld the seam to make it look nice

This was the only rust on the entire car and I didn't find it until I had the car painted...

Looks great Gary! That chasses looks badass! It wouldn't happen to be a Schwartz set-up would it? I know Jeff from the Ultima club I used to be part of. Great guy and makes some sweet set-ups!

I also just ordered a new close ratio 4 speed M23 Muncie transmission from Rich (DetGearbox). Everything is brand new in it, including the case....I will just put the original 1964 Muncie away for now. They were marginal at best.

I decided not to use my GForce trans because of the dog ring syncros would just be banging away too much. They are great for racing but not so much for street use, so I sold it for about $3,000...

Finished Assembling Trans - Big Thanks to Rich from Detroit Gearbox

The Trans is a brand new M23 - Based on the Muncie M22 Rockcrusher, but much stronger.
The mounting and outside dimensions interchange with a Muncie
