64 1/2 mustang need help please read

I am helping a good friend of mine right now restore his 64 1/2 and it is as bad if not worse than yours, were replacing framerails and all floor pans including full trunk pan, quarter panels, fenders, radiator support, rear valence, etc, and everything was around $1600 for all aftermarket parts. You can pretty much build this car from scratch if you had to. It would be a great bonding experience for you and your son and give you something to pass down through generations. AWESOME. Go for it.

thank you all. this is the one thing that actually free's my mind of everything its been almost 4 weeks since I found my father passed away in his house and still depressed and this car is my only relief as of now been going to town on it and my son wont leave me alone about working on it. I know it will be a learning curve I have only welded 1 bead before and it was ugly but hopefully I will catch on and im sure one day it will see the road but again thanks to you all to give opinions and advice

try and use a small self tapping screw in each corner to keep things straight. Its always good to mockup things and eye them before diving in! good luck!

always test fit. But on a good note both floor pans are in almost all welded just have to do so more underneath but too hard to get under need to jack it up. Made my sheet metal parts list looks like 800 thats including hood latch things but no body sheet metal. Now will finish welding and sandblasting the hole underside so when I get my house sold then im going to town buying all the stuff I need, so if anyone is looking for a house in the dearborn heights area for cheap let me know
