Ordered a disc brake conversion kit today with a new master cylinder and a bunch of other bits a pieces.

Still need to find a radiator.

I'm partial to these wheels.

Very cool, I love a 55'!!! I like the wheel choice, maybe a little wider for the rear.

I'm kinda thinking matching widths all the way around, with coker tall white walls eventually.

I do like the idea of some winder torque thrust 2 wheels with some low profile wide tires too.

Stooooooop.... Lol

Is this thing a candidate for a vinyl wrap? Friggin sweet project.

What!? I think something like below would be sweet.

Not really. Not with out taking the body all the way down to bare metal and fixing any subsequent holes. I'm thinking the drivers side thats been primered might get stripped.

So far I have on order:

'55 Chevy disc brake conversion Kit
New Aluminum Radiator
New Gas Tank
New Gas Tank Straps
Intake Gaskets
Holley Renew kit for the carb
Moroso Advance Curve Kit

Nice work, quite a bit of progress already. I think those wheels will look great, but I agree on a wider wheel on back. I don't think a 5" wide wheel will take anything over a 165...

Yeah I don't plan to run that exact size, just that style. Still kicking around ideas. Long way off anyways.

I like the steel wheels. If you do aluminum, (as much as I love my torque thrusts) I'd do something a little different. I like the American Racing Salt Flat wheels.

So the exhaust from the mufflers back is in rough shape. I really don't want to dump them before the axle in a car thats not well sealed, I'm getting too old for huffin fumes. Since the body is shit anyways I might figure out something other than tail pipes, idk. I just don't like the look of tail pipes or side pipes.

I had them dump mine over the axle on my last hot rod, don’t see pipes and it still keeps the fumes away or maybe they can tuck the tail piles and you won’t see them. Probably depends on the trunk pan and all that good stuff though.
