I have an 88 lx that I'm gona be doing a 5 lug swap and I wanted to know if the rear end will fit out of a 98 gt? Or is there a better way to do the 5 lug 4 wheel disk?

your gonna need a LSC rear end if you want a direct swap and yes from what I remember the rear end housing is the correct size but the axle shafts are longer, if someone can confirm this

Will that be a big factor when it comes to what rim/tire combo as far as rubbing?
It depends on that wheel & tire combo you are going with. The Mark VII swap Front & rear you cant run 94 and newer rims on the front. If you go with the SN-95 swap you can run pretty much what wheels you want. The axle housings for the Fox...Mark VII (lsc) and SN-95 are the same length. The 3/4 of an Inch Is on the axle Its self. I have an 84 GT vert with SN-95 conversion and I had to roll the rear wheel lip to get clearence. I have stock 84 suspention up front with SN-95 spindles and my wheels fit like a glove. I am running 235-45-17 tires up front & 285-40-17 on the rear with 2000 bullitts.
