I think a Pro 5.0 racer's little brother did it, Gullet I think. And I know MM&FF did a magazine article on one.

hmm, theres someone on the corral from around here with one, with an 88mm single on it... looked like a home made sheet metal intake tho..

There was a sn95 body mustang here on the east side with a 5.4 blown lightning motor in it so why not. I think he just cut a hole in the stock hood so the blower snout would clear.

lol hoobed

Stock Lightning block with Bolt ons (valve cover's NEVER been off), NO NITROUS.

447rwhp/553rwtrq... now put that in a vehicle that doesn't weigh 5000lbs.

I would stray away from the adapter plates. Your basically looking at a custom sheet metal intake/hogans intake, or cutting up/widening a stock intake (people have had good luck with this).

Al on the Corral has gone into the 9's on his N/A 5.4. It isnt a common mod as its taller/wider and requires you to pull the motor to pull the valve covers/work on the interior of the motor.

i know it works, and there are adapters out that adapt the 4.6 intake to the 5.4 intake. id rather have a good intake designed for it.

i know theyre not super god-like fast like any ls-* motor but adding 50+ cubes to any motor, with something pushing air thru that extra 50+ cubes, is better than a lot of mods.

Haven't seen that one around yet...any pics or additional info?
Just a 30-some year old guy that I know from Lansing. He builds 2-stroke motors for a living I think. The car is pretty bad-ass. Haven't been in it yet myself, but I think I might have seen him run down a Busa. :)
