Bore the block out.

So you put 8 new sleeves in it and bored it out to 3.898 ?? I don`t think you can go that big with the stock sleeves right ?? stock bore is 3.780....

No need for 8. Stock LM blocks can be bored to 3.905 safely.

Yeap. The boring bar micrometer and I didn't like each other...LOL

I'm thinking not much more than 3.905. Cylinder walls start to get a little thin from that point on. I don't remember what thickness our cylinders measured at. I'm getting old...LOL

Just found out that the instructor did purchase the engine and he's pretty excited about putting it in his 55 Chevy. It makes me feel good to know something I built is going into a cool project like that. I also get to tune it when I get back from Florida. I'm loving all of this good news.
