1994? (last year of the 5.0L)

Bone stock motor with aftermarket exhaust. auto trans.

For a nitrous system, do you have to have it dyno tuned? If so, who do you recommend that is reasonable in price? Since this setup has been done 1 million times before, is there a chip you can get with the nitrous system?

95 last year of the 5.0, a basic powershot system is a bolt on and go its tuned safe from the factory no chip needed. If you want more power than that I would suggest taking it over to Alternative to get set-up

It is my friends bone stock mustang with 3.73 gears and flowmaster. He bought the kit used. the previous owner had the nitrous and fuel jets backwards.
After installing it and breaking the microswitch, we found one at radioshack (thanks J Quick on that info).
Since the jets were backwards, it wasn't a full 75 shot. but we figured it out. On a hot, slippery asphalt road (in mexico) we left it in drive and it went through all 4 gears (AOD), smoking the tires. It was fun, but didn't really seem that much quicker when we went to a street with traction (in mexico). I mean it was quicker, but not pinned in your seat, gasping for air quick acceleration.
I told him he needed to pick up some drag radials for the rear.
It's the first time in about 15 years that I played with nitrous. it was fun.

Eh. You can slap nitrous on anything and it will be happy. Just stick with a modest 75 shot and youll be happy.

In my experience a stock 94 auto with 3.73 gears is probably only a high 14 second car so I would'nt expect more than high 13s with the 75 shot, assuming you have traction.
