The truck is a nbs 99 1/2ton with 130k. It shifts fine during normal driving but this morning i was running a little late and jumped on it off a stop light. It does not slip when in gear but when it goes for the 1-2 shift it is slow and soft. 2-3 gear feels fine. Is this turd gonna let go or do I have some time if I fix it. I dont drive the truck hard and rarely pull my car with it. I was just wondering if this is a sign of something failing. Thanks

It's a sign of the clutches being worn. Now it could last ten years like that or ten minutes, it's just so hard to say. Do not get a power flush done no Matter what u do.

Sounds like the fluid is getting soupy. Only thing I would recomend here is to change the filter catch the oil fluid in clean container and top off what you miss. Could be the filter is plugging up.

Otherwise budget some $$ for a rebuild.
