4l60e questions... 4wd to 2wd??

I came across a 4L60e transmission for the right price that will be going into my LSx swap wagon.

It is out of a 2000ish 4x4 S10. Can I put the proper tailstock on the trans by removing the transfer case with nothing else required? or would it be easier to invest in one set up for 2wd?

will need the output shaft and the tail housing

To replace the output shaft, you need to disassemble the transmission. Its not that big of a deal to just swap out out put shafts, however, depending on the year of the controller you are using, not all 4l60e's are created alike, some require a output speed sensor, some do not, some have different technology that applies to the tcc apply. Understand what year transmission you have and what year controller you have and make sure the two are compatible.
