40 year old air filters

What does a 40 year old air filter look like? Pretty bad lol.
My wife got me a couple new filters for my B-day. I knew they needed to be replaced... but wow!
I ran some new fuel lines & took out the inline fuel filters while I had the exhaust off.
It runs like a new bike.

 
nice looking scrambler! that thing is mint. every once in a while i get the urge to restore an old bike (or do a cafe or something), but then my wife gently reminds me of how many hobbies i have. :lol:
 
Thanks. Its the first year for a 6 speed trans. I bought it off a guy down in Ohio who lived on a dirt road.
Im still finding mud & dirt in all sorts of odd places. I found some new chrome seat rivets on ebay from Japan,15cents each lol. Its fun/easy to work on.
I had no idea how many old school dudes had them in the 60's & 70's. I took it to the bank the other day, when I came back out it had a crowd of old ZZtop type cats around it. They said they all bought new scramblers when they got hom from Nam.
