04 4.6 in a expedition and tips or tricks before i do this?is there a better plug to use on it so i can avoid breakage next time?thanks.

Do it hot, use an impact gun if you can, lots of guys say to do a combustion chamber cleaning first but I've done it both ways and it doesn't seem to matter, any one-piece plug should be fine, need a 9/16" spark plug socket for them.

OEM plug with a little anti seize on the first couple threads (starting threads) of the plug. As it is common practice to not do plugs while the engine is warm, I go against that rule with the 4.6's.

Exactly. That will let the head expand a little bit loosen it's grip on the plug. Also, if you break a plug off, don't worry. The Ford dealer sells a kit to pull the rest of the plug out & it isn't too expensive.

My friends 05 F150 broke all 8 plugs. We used whatever tool he bought before hand and it turned out actually not being too much of a nightmare.

Well i was driving home the other day and i hear a loud pop and i blew a spark plug out,so i fixed the head and putnew plugs in and they where the short plugs not the long ones that break.it was not a hard fix though so im happy.
