4.6 help needed

me and my buddy are doing new plugs on his 99 p71 vic and the plug for cylinder 2 will not come out. its loose but will not come out. and it will not tighten back up either. im thinking the threads spun in the head. anyone have this happen before??

I do believe there was a TSB or Recall about this happening on the mod motors including the V10....Any more info you might have to ask a ford tech

so i just got the plug out and the threads came out of the head.....fuuuckk

I think ford sells the repair kit for it....I am not sure though

I hear about this a lot over on SVTP. So I started using anti seize on all my plugs.

you really only need 15-20 pounds of torque on those plugs with the aluminum heads...

yea i know that. theres no threads at all to grab onto right now though..

The most popular fix is the hellicoli option

So get some threads then use the 15-20 pounds :thumbsup:
