i heard somewhere that they can only fire in bursts. if they hammer down the force from firing the gun can slow the plane down.

I always thought tanks were bad-ass, but that warthog whooped that ass.

That's why it's known as a tank buster or tank killer. It was about to be dropped from the military inventory until Desert Storm. That shed some new light on the capibilities of the aircraft.

We marked some target for the air wing once, they dropped their ordinance on the other side of the mountain range, so we never saw the aircraft. But you could tell when the A-10 were hammering the targets.
