4:10's on a daily driver

4.10 is a ideal gear for 4.6 mutangs.....if you do alot of long term fast freeway driving you will suffer a bit at the pump.....


4.10 really wake up the 4.6 and is not too much for normal driving conditions....

This is pending you have stock sized wheels and stock trans.

I have 3.73's in my supercharged Mustang, noticed a little bit of difference in gas mileage but nothing drastic.

18's with a 4:10 Long term highway sucks but street is fine for me. Part of the reason I will finally go with a T-56 this year..

I have 4:11's in my truck with a 3 speed and its fine, i just drive slow to have decent gas milage and no freeway for me. =/

I wouldn't consider anything less in a mod motor. I run 4.56's but it is not a dd.

Highway driving is kind of annoying. Also, When buying a gear dont buy a off brand cheap one and id try to avoid buying a used one. I had the FMS gear and never had an issue. Now i have IRS and its all worthless.

I am currently running 4:10's but I may jump to a set of 4:30's

I'd say 4:10's in a GT and 4:30 or even 4:56 is a cobra 4V
