I was over on yellowbullet and noticed a post you replied to and you stated you broke it last friday. So what did you break this time?
 
Sounded like he lost he #8 piston and a hg from what I read over there...damage report coming after disassembly.
 
The new carb I got for the car leaked fuel into the intake. It filled up the #8 cylinder with fuel and hyro lock that cylinder. When we went to fire it up it back fired that cylinder and took out the head gasket. Piston and bore is still good just need to replace the head gasket and send the carb back to be looked at. Nothing major just a little weekend blues. What happen to your car on your first pass sunday? Forget to tune the bottle on?
 
I was super happy with the results on the first pass, besides the tires blowing off the first 150 feet, the car went straight as a arrow. Now after I learn what the tires like we should be in the low 9's range, maybe if I push it hard a high high 8 with good air.

Tried 1200lbs of NOS pressure, I guess the solonoid didn't like it.

It would be a good idea to have that rod checked to be certain that it isn't bent.:wink: Have seen this happen numerous times in this situation when all appears to be okay.

Thanks, next improvements is the chute and maybe a wing, still debating how it would look on the car. I was thinking more in the lines of how stenod did the one on tom k's car. The way it droops down the side of the car.
